Wilbur is a storyteller/singer/songwriter. Growing up he was exposed to all styles of black American music ranging from gospel to jazz and everything in between. For him, what unified all these styles was the folkloric tradition of telling a story. As a result, he affectionately refers to his music as “Black Folk Music.” Wilbur blends black American music with art of story telling.
